Semola Pasta Making Workshop

  • SJ Resource Centre 2 Paterson Street Mundijong, WA, 6123 Australia (map)

If you've ever wanted to try making your own pasta from scratch but find the idea daunting, then this is the perfect class for you. Once you see how easy (and fun!) it is, you'll never go back!

Semola Pasta or "Water and Flour" pasta is the perfect type of pasta dough to make when starting out on your pasta journey. It is very easy, lends itself to making a huge array of hand rolled shapes - the majority of which don't require any special equipment. It also contains no eggs, so its suitable for vegans! That's right, vegan pasta!

In this hands on cooking workshop, you will have the opportunity to make your own semola pasta dough, as well as a number of different shapes plus two sauces to pair with your pasta. You will prepare these items yourself, with the sauces made in groups.

In addition to preparing the above items, you will learn about the right type of flour to use and where to buy it, drying and freezing pasta, and there will be a demonstration of 'trickier' shapes that you can practice at home.

Also included in this workshop:

  • Recipe cards for everything you make

  • Apron to wear in class

  • Small class numbers for individual attention

  • Delicious pasta lunch that we will make together

  • PLUS carry bag, containers to take home your pasta leftovers, flour, your own gnocchi board AND dough cutter so you can continue your pasta practice at home!

If you've never made pasta from scratch before, this is a great chance to have a go with a dough that is actually a lot easier than egg pasta, that you can make lots of fun shapes with.

DURATION: 2.5 -3 Hours Approx

Please take into consideration the below prior to booking:
