If you’re lucky enough to have a citrus tree or two in your backyard, then you very likely have dealt with gluts of fruit - more than you knew what to do with!
Fortunately, citrus fruits are one of the most versatile fruits with endless uses - and one of the easiest to preserve and turn into a huge range of delicious goodies, condiments, cleaning products and more.
In this hands on preserving workshop, you will have the opportunity to make a number of citrus preserved foods and household items, including:
Preserved Lemons
Pickled Limes
Orange Curd
Candied Peel
Citrus Cleaning Solution
You will prepare these items yourself, with some items made in small groups.
In addition to preparing the above items and taking them home, we will also talk about growing citrus trees and looking after them, different citrus varieties and their suitability for various culinary and household uses.

If you’re new to preserving food, this workshop is a great place to start as these recipes don’t require any special ‘processing’ - they can be stored straight on the shelf, in the fridge or freezer.
